Call for Abstract Submission
Non-Resident Nepali Association, International Coordination Council (NRN-ICC) invites you and welcomes your abstract submission to oral sessions, panel presentations and scientific posters at NRN-ICC’s Regional Expert Conference “Skill, Knowledge, and Technology Transfer in Nepal.” The abstracts, paper or proposal, innovation pitch can be submitted in the submit abstract for June Conference in the website http://americas.knowledge-nrna.org as an attached PDF document, please use the submission instruction step by step, or it can be sent directly by email: firstname.lastname@example.org. All accepted abstracts, and papers will be compiled in the Conference Proceedings.
Abstracts and Presentations are expected to be aligned with the interest and priorities of the government of Nepal—such as
• Energy & infrastructure (renewable and non-renewable energy, transportation, information and communication technologies, irrigation, urban development, smart cities)
• Health & medicine (including telemedicine), environment, education/literacy, population, and agriculture
• Science, Technology (including biotechnology & nanotechnology), engineering, big data, and artificial intelligence
• Youth employment, women empowerment, and entrepreneurship
• Policies for good governance, inclusive growth, fiscal reform and economic transformation and development
Inter-disciplinary presentations are encouraged. Abstract of any field with innovation idea that demonstrates the developmental influences in Nepal will also be welcomed.
Travel Fund :
Presenters and participants will be responsible for their travel arrangement, visa along with the accommodation.
Eligibility to submit the paper: Abstract submission is open to all members. Nepali Diaspora scientists, students, researchers from all sectors such as academia, government, industry, and education will be given high priorities. The theme of all the papers should include the ground breaking ideas, strategies, and relevant policies or products that will explore visions and contrast avenues for modern changes and developmental impacts in Nepal.

Note: In the abstract, authors are encouraged to briefly include information on how the research findings or knowledge could be utilized in the context of Nepal.

Abstract submission*: May 1-May 25, 2018
Abstract review and Acceptance: May 25-May 29, 2018
Notification of acceptance**: Authors will be notified by May 30, 2018
Acceptance of authors: June 5, 2018
*Late abstract submission: The abstract review committee will make a decision up on request of author for late submission.
To promote young scientists, such as undergraduate and graduate students, the organizing committee plans to recognize five outstanding papers/abstracts and provide travel funds. Students who are involved in the research work related to the social, economic, and technological development of Nepal could apply the travel fund to present in the conference. Applicants must send the application by email to the abstract review and white paper preparation committee along with one recommendation letter from research adviser before June 11, 2018. The maximum award will be $500 for each up to five selected candidates.
